Travel Information

Unless you are doing an adventurous overland trip within Borneo, the easiest way to reach Pangkalan Bun is by air. Flight schedules change often, depending on number of aeroplanes in service and other circumstances. Tickets can sometimes be booked before you arrive in Indonesia, with help from hotels you have booked with, or by using an in-country travel agent. Otherwise, flights can usually be booked a day or two in advance at the airport when you arrive (not always available though, so best not to count on this method). Unfortunately we are not licensed to purchase flight tickets for you. Many of our guests use the Ticket agent of Indonesia website www.tiket.com

If you’re arriving from outside Indonesia, I highly recommend checking the fares to neighboring countries such as Singapore (SIN), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (KUL), and Bangkok, Thailand (BKK). Why settle for one destination when you can explore multiple vibrant Southeast Asian countries during your trip? These neighboring countries offer incredible cultural diversity, culinary delights, and breathtaking sights that will make your journey even more memorable.

However, if you prefer to fly directly to Indonesia, let me suggest three fantastic airports that are worth considering: Jakarta (CGK), Surabaya (SUB), and Denpasar, Bali (DPS).
